Here is another one that hits the problem on the mark.

Why can't Americans see what you see? What I see? That the Republican party is just sour with double standards. I'm not saying the Democratic party is infallible--not at all, really. But I do totally agree with your assessment about language like "your people".

I'm very afraid we will again see a Republican in the White House, because somehow, ministers, priests, and pastors have developed a fierce sort of influence. I've seen that leverage at work, as most of us have, I'm sure. While growing up and listening to the pastor tell his churchgoers to "remember the unborn" when they case their ballots.

I don't know what it will take to shake Americans out of their fears that God will cast them into Hell for voting for a responsible, social-programs-funding, anti-corporation leader. Someone who is pro-Living for bailing out Social Security. Someone who is pro-Loving for providing same-sex marriage rights. And someone who is pro-Liberty, for protecting the choices we make in our private lives.

I don't know what it's going to take to shake Americans, and make them realize that they shouldn't be so worried about going to Hell after they die. Because we're in Hell right now.KRhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09366154221681165632noreply@blogger.com
